About Ultrasonic Pulse Velocity Tester
The velocity of ultrasonic wave in concrete is affected by elastic property or strength. Ultrasonic applies high voltage and sends it to transit transducer to generate ultrasonic wave. This ultrasonic wave reaches to the receive transducer through concrete. When elastic property or strength of concrete is high, the transit time is short. On the other hand, when the materials are contrary, the velocity is low. Ultrasonic measures the ultrasonic transit time accurately so it makes possible to evaluate a material or find an elastic properties nondestructively to investigate uniformity, cavities, cracks, fire/frost damage, delaminating, deterioration and strength. We use 52 khz concrete transducers which was designed to send and receive ultrasonic signal effectively in highly attenuative materials, including concrete, wood, stone and plastic. This instrument was developed by cooperative research with research institute of standard science, subsidized from the national coffers of ministry of science technology. This is the 4th generation.

FAQs of Ultrasonic Pulse Velocity Tester:
Q: How does the Ultrasonic Pulse Velocity Tester operate automatically?
A: The tester utilizes built-in sensors and smart circuitry to perform measurements without manual adjustments. Once the concrete specimen is placed, the instrument automatically initiates the pulse and displays velocity readings on the LED panel.
Q: What is the primary usage of this ultrasonic tester?
A: This device is mainly used in laboratories to assess concrete quality, detect internal flaws, and measure velocity of ultrasonic pulses for research and quality control purposes.
Q: Where can the Ultrasonic Pulse Velocity Tester be used in India?
A: It is widely used in laboratories across India by dealers, distributors, exporters, fabricators, manufacturers, producers, retailers, suppliers, traders, and wholesalers involved in concrete testing.
Q: What is the benefit of the LED display on this tester?
A: The LED display offers highly visible, clear numeric data, enabling quick reading and minimizing errors during laboratory testing, even in environments with limited lighting.
Q: What is the standard process for using this ultrasonic tester?
A: The user places the transducers on opposite sides of the concrete sample, powers the tester via its 230 Volt supply, and then initiates the automatic testing sequence. The velocity measurement appears instantly on the LED display.
